Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough health assessments, including detailed medical histories, physical examinations, and the interpretation of laboratory and diagnostic tests.
- Diagnosis and Treatment: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for both acute and chronic conditions.
- Health Promotion and Disease Prevention: Educate patients on preventive care, promote healthy lifestyles, and perform screenings for various health conditions.
- Prescriptions and Referrals: Prescribe necessary medications and refer patients to other healthcare professionals as needed.
- Documentation: Complete essential medical forms, including Driver's Medical Examination Reports, ensuring all documentation is thorough and accurate.
Candidate Profile:
- Licensing: A current Nurse Practitioner license in Nova Scotia is required.
- Patient-Centered Care: A demonstrated commitment to providing compassionate, patient-focused care with a strong emphasis on in-person interactions.
