The Opportunity:

The Concierge/Security role will be serving the Athens Creek Retirement Lodge in Penticton, British Columbia. This role is responsible for ensuring top resident care is priority.

We are seeking candidates interested in:

Casual

Availability on weekends and shift preferred timings would be 4pm-12am or 12am-8am depending on community needs

Foundational knowledge and experience to grow from:

  • Coordinates tasks with the vision, objectives and guiding philosophy of Connecting Care
  • A strong personal commitment to Person Directed Care approaches. Current familiarity with the Eden Alternative Philosophy and the Domains of Well-Being is preferred
  • Strives to attain excellence in Resident, family member and employee care partner satisfaction
  • Attentively communicating with our Community and all employee care partners and guests
  • Providing information about the facilities and the surrounding areas, such as the best possible routes from one point to another by different transportation means
  • Advising about the community, including where to shop for groceries, different transportation routes and means, what time trash pickup occurs, or how to reach emergency services
  • Ensuring that the highest levels of customer care and service are maintained at all times
  • Deal effectively with complaints, take the correct action and remain courteous at all times
  • Friendly with a sense of humor and the utmost respect for all persons
  • Knowledge of supportive living services, assessment, and care planning
  • Maintains ongoing compliance with appropriate local, provincial, and federal regulatory standards
  • Demonstrates strength in building partnerships with Residents, family members, employee care partners, volunteers, external care partners and the community at large to ensure the vibrancy of our community
  • Flexible, willingness to prioritize and adjust routines include housekeeping
  • Strong time management skills
  • Awareness for accident and injury prevention and adheres to safe work practices
  • Auditing and collecting ongoing resident/family feedback
  • Assisting in identifying and addressing needs within the Community
  • Actively participating on various committees/meetings providing advice/ input
  • Performs other services/tasks/duties related to employee care partner role as assigned

Skills and key deliverables that will take you further:

  • Grade 12 Diploma or recognized equivalent is required
  • Current Standard First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • Must have two Covid -19 Vaccinations
