We are looking for a talented individual for the position of Electrician at our Brampton Extrusion Plant.

Position Summary
The Maintenance Electrician is responsible to keep all equipment running in good working order through preventative maintenance and repair.
Job Responsibilities
- Work as part of a team to install, test, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, control devices, and related equipment
- Routinely perform preventative maintenance on all equipment and components in order to ensure the continued safe, efficient, and effective operations of all equipment and fixtures utilized by the organization
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications in order to provide troubleshooting and repair services when needed
- Troubleshoot PLC issues with the equipment (Allen-Bradley)
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records
- Direct and train other workers and apprentices to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
- Work on other electrical projects as required
- Ensure all work performed adheres to all relevant organizational, provincial, and federal safety regulations, codes, and specifications
- Maintain a safe and clean workspace at all times
- Responsible to follow the Occupational Health and Safety Act and all Can Art Company Policies
- Must have a 442A Industrial Electrician license. May consider a 309A with strong industrial manufacturing experience
- Minimum 3 years of electrician experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Ability to install, maintain, test, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and electrical code specifications
- Knowledgeable in PLC programmable logic capabilities
- Experience in metal processing, heavy stamping, or die casting is an asset
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
- Solid interpersonal skills that allow for working effectively in a diverse work environment
- Ability to take initiative on tasks and work with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
- Strong work ethic and positive team player attitude
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of health and safety best practices in a manufacturing environment
- Plant environment
- Twelve hour rotating continental shift
- Exposure to loud noise and heat
- May be required to lift up to 50lbs
