We are offering a $1000 SIGNING BONUS for an experienced groomer joining our team!

We are looking for an experienced and passionate, full-time Dog Groomer to be part of our amazing team. We focus on education of clients and creating a great experience for both the clients and dogs, which includes policies against shaving of double-coated dogs (unless required due to pelting), referring aggressive dogs to sedation grooming, and maintaining a regular grooming schedule. Part of our customer service standards include having a dedicated Client Care team that handles all the phone calls, reminders, payments and bookings so that you can focus on making our client's dogs look their best, while leaving you with the feeling of pride and accomplishment in every groom. As a team we work collaboratively to create a world class experience through a team effort.

The Role

As Gus's Groomer your primary objectives will be to:

• Ensure the grooming experience is positive for the dogs and clients with whom you interact.
• Meet and exceed service standards by providing excellent grooms and establishing relationships with clients.
• Understand clients wants and needs to provide the best service possible
• Write notes for accurate record keeping for consistent future services.
• Follow all check-in, grooming, and checkout procedures for consistent services to the clients and guests.
• Communicate to our human guests about their pet's grooming experience and making professional recommendations in a courteous and respectful way.
• Build a relationship with and educate clients to come on regular schedules.
• Be attentive to behaviour of the animals in your care for health or behavioural concerns.
• Ensure you are performing services safely at all points.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate for this position should have the following traits:

• Have a minimum of 2 year dog grooming experience
• Have an understanding of dog breeds, grooming knowledge, basic dog behaviour
• Grooming dogs with care and gentle handling throughout their visit.
• Active listening and strong oral and written communications skills
• Demonstrate an exceptional level of professionalism
• Ability to work independently and as a team
• Be charismatic, professional, and enthusiastic
• Have a passionate entrepreneurial spirit and are self-motivated.
• Be flexible, dedicated, disciplined, and have a positive attitude
