As the Supply Chain Specialist you will be responsible for managing the purchasing and order placement processes, ensuring seamless order management and fulfillment, and providing exceptional customer service.

In order to fulfill the tasks at hand, you'll need to be highly experienced with this entire stack:

  • Inventory Optimization:
  • Work with managers to consistently monitor inventory levels of retail, dispensary and lab, conduct annual audits, and ensure that stock levels align with demand forecasts to reduce holding costs and prevent stockouts.
  • Adjust order quantities and frequencies based on real-time shelf data
  • Check orders for special requests and verify purchase orders for price changes.
  • Purchase:
  • Place orders for retail, pharmacy, and lab operations.
  • Receiving:
  • Unpack shipments upon arrival, ensuring accurate labeling and storage.
  • Print shelf tags and tag/price each product as it arrives, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Storage:
  • Collaborate with the Lab Manager to track inventory of raw ingredients
  • Overstock management and storage tracking of NutriChem Products.
  • Pick/Pack
  • Pick/Pack products to be shipped
  • Shipping
  • Label, pack, and process shipments using shipstation.
  • Collaborate with shipping, courrier, and delivery services.
  • Customer support and returns:
  • Handle vendor returns, stock adjustments, and monitor backorders.
  • Contact carriers for pickups and troubleshoot any lost shipments.
  • Be a point of contact for customers regarding shipping order issues, providing timely resolutions.
  • Follow up with suppliers for credits or issues related to orders, ensuring clear communication.
  • Supplier Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage performance.
    • Verify that applicable discounts are received from suppliers and strategically place orders to take advantage of savings
    • Handle vendor returns, stock adjustments, and monitor backorders.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks within the supply chain and communicate with the operational director.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with retail, marketing, finance and other teams to ensure smooth operations and to address supply chain challenges effectively.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify areas for process improvement within the supply chain, implement best practices, and leverage technology to increase efficiency and sustainability

Area Maintenance:

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including cleaning counters and managing waste.
  • Remove the daily cardboard and garbage from the shipping and receiving area, including items from other departments.

To get to know you better, it would be great if your resume can demonstrate the following experience:

  • Post secondary education in Supply Chain coordination/management, Business Administration, logistics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in logistics, purchasing, and supply chain management, preferably in a retail setting.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills. Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive problem-solver, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
