Southern Irrigation is actively looking for a Full-Time Logistics position for our Oliver location. The successful candidate should excel in efficiency, have good communication skills, and a positive attitude.

Job Title: Logistics

Location: 5830 Sawmill Road, Oliver, BC

Job purpose: This position's primary responsibilities are assist the logistic team ensuring customer orders are gathered, packaged and sent/delivered accurately, efficiently and safely while maintaining a high level of customer service, assisting with yard organization and delivering stock to customers when needed.

Key Result Area

• High accuracy and efficiency in shipping/receiving/packaging/pulling orders
• Ensure orders are shipped within desired time frame
• Keep yard clean and organized

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Gather and package customer orders, and will-call orders
• Stock shelves
• Track shipments as needed
• Process customer orders and take payments
• Assist in the preparation of inter-company transfers
• Cross-train on additional Shipper duties: acquiring rates, preparing customs paperwork, etc.
• Assist other departments, as required

Competencies

• Highly organized with a strong attention to detail and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to build relationships with customer, drivers and transport companies
• Self-driven, results oriented with a positive outlook and a clear focus on efficiency
• Ability to identify areas for improvement and contribute potential solutions
• Operate various types of forklifts to unload/load pipe, septic tanks, concrete risers/basins, filter fabric rolls, etc.
• Heavy trailer endorsement or better is an asset
• Clean drivers abstract
