We are looking for a PRESS READY PERSON for our Ancaster location. This position will be reporting to the Converting Supervisor.

Broad Purpose

To ensure that the required dies are press ready at the required machines in a timely manner to produce quality products per company quality policy and relieve press machines to assist in continuous flow.

General Job Duties:

• Perform press machine relief as required and assisting operator with problems and help to keep machine running to targets
• Assist Dieman
• Obtain production line up and ensure all required tooling is ready
• Ensure all required printing plates are pulled and placed on production rack
• Manage and store tooling as required
• Verify dies are complete and in good shape
• Liaise with other plants re die and tooling transfer
• Inspect and repair or replace broken dies or tracks as required
• Report all problems to your supervisor or operator when they occur

• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Safety Responsibility and Accountability:

• Follow equipment specific physical lock out tag out procedure
• Report all hazards / problems to your Supervisor when they occur.
• Other available tools are when hazard rating is low.
• Pre-use inspection form
• Use Manager plus and place a work request
• Use of hazard reporting form
• Report injury / incident to your Supervisor immediately
• Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with health and safety act, and Good housekeeping practices.
• Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) – Gloves, sleeves, safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, Hi- viz vest in Shipping/warehouse
• Mobile equipment operator to ensure daily operator checklist is completed after use. I.e. Clamp truck, Forklift, Elevated work platforms.
• Abide by all plant rules, safety rules and regulations of the Company
• Keep fire equipment and exits clear all time

Education:

Minimum Grade 10

Basic Math

Essential Skills/Qualifications:

Previous manufacturing experiences an asset

Machine operation skills

Organization skills

Good communication

Flexibility to work rotating shifts

Computer Skills required
