Job Description

FLINT is seeking a Plant Operator with a minimum of 3rd Class Power Engineering Certificate for an upcoming role in Shantz, AB, starting November 12, 2024. In this position, you will enjoy 12-hour shifts with a rotating schedule of 4 Nights on / 3 Days off, 3 Days on / 1 Day off / 3 Nights on, followed by 1 week off, and benefits after 300+ hours worked.

This position does not include camp accommodations, living out allowance, or travel allowance, making it ideal for local candidates. However, those willing to travel or relocate at their own expense are also encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Plant Operator in Sulphur Plant.
• Extensive knowledge on WHMIS, ABSA, and ASME requirements.
• Possess extensive knowledge of all facets of sulphur plant operations.
• Ability to perform the same operation of a 3rd class.
• Ability to monitor and maintain various plant equipment, record testing outcomes, report equipment issues, and oversee production process while improving the plant facility's efficiency, quality, and safety.
• Meet minimum mandatory safety ticket requirements:
  • H2S Alive
  • Standard First Aid
• Physically capable of performing demanding job tasks in various work conditions.
• Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.
• Must have own reliable transportation to site.
• Valid driver's license and clean 5-year Driver's Abstract with under 6 demerits.

Additional Information

This position has been identified as a safety sensitive position and will require completion of drug and alcohol testing.
