Job DescriptionAbout the role
Location: Work from Home anywhere in Canada
The Rehabilitation Service Professional Vocational (RSP Voc) is responsible for completing Transferable Skills Analyses (TSAs) to identify appropriate vocational options for RSVP Participants based on their functional capacity, education, training, work history and transferable skills. The RSP Voc completes a comprehensive analysis and report summarizing the evidence and recommendations in relation to the Participant's vocational options to guide the Rehabilitation Plan goals.
What you'll do
- Conducts Transferable Skills Analyses based on review of Participants' education, training, and experience and in consideration of functional limitations or restrictions
- Identifies appropriate employment options through the TSA for which the Participant would be employable based on their education, training and transferable skills
- Follows approved processes and program requirements to support completion of analyses and recommendations
- Develops final reports that clearly support conclusions and recommendations
- Submits reports according to established service standards and timelines
- Complies with program requirements for privacy and confidentiality
What you bring:
- A bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counselling, Rehabilitation, Social Sciences, Health Services, Human Services, or a related field and one of the following:
- a health professional designation; or
- Certified Vocational Rehabilitation Professional (CVRP or a CVRP-F); OR in Québec, Career Counsellors registered with the Ordre des conseillers et conseillères d'orientation du Québec
PLUS:
- A minimum of three (3) years' experience in the direct provision of medical, psychosocial or vocational rehabilitation services (or a combination thereof)
OR:
- A bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counselling, Rehabilitation, Social Sciences, Health Services, Human Services, or a related field and one of the following:
- working toward a health professional designation within two years
- in the process of obtaining a Certified Vocational Rehabilitation Professional (CVRP or a Certified Vocational Rehabilitation Services Professional– Fellow (CVRP-F); OR in Québec, Career Counsellors registered with the Ordre des conseillers et conseillères d'orientation du Québec within two years; or
- have five (5) years of experience in case management, with a concrete development plan inclusive of mentorship/supervision; to obtain credentials within two years toward one of the following designations: • Certified Return to Work Coordinator • Certificate in Disability Management • Certified Disability Management Professional
PLUS:
- A minimum of one (1) year experience in the direct provision of medical, psycho- social or vocational rehabilitation services including conducting assessments and making recommendations to support a comprehensive plan
- Experience working with persons living with mental or physical health problems creating barriers in life.
Preferred Criteria:
- Bilingual (French / English)
