The Saskatchewan Liquor & Gaming Authority is seeking a self-motivated and detail-oriented individual to provide support as a Licensing Specialist within the Gaming Integrity and Licensing Branch.
The Licensing Specialist reports to the Manager for Charitable Gaming and is responsible for providing front-line service to charitable gaming license holders and applicants for licenses, including evaluating applicant and lottery structures for eligibility and compliance with gaming integrity requirements, approving licenses for all charitable gaming events, renewing and maintaining licenses for all charitable gaming events, identifying and resolving problematic financial reports, working with investigation staff to ensure compliance, and providing information and guidance to applicants, licensees, and members of the public.

This position requires Gaming Regulator Registration.
Working Conditions
The Licensing Specialist typically works core office hours (8:00 a.m. and 4:45 p.m.) Monday to Friday, with a scheduled day off every second week excluding statutory holidays. The majority of the workday is spent sitting at a desk.
In the course of their duties, Licensing Specialists may need to interact with customers who are irate and as such, must demonstrate an attitude with safety by always ensuring the safety of self and others within the workplace.

- Works with licensees to ensure all gaming activity is authorized.
- Provides support and guidance to applicants and licensees regarding licence and use of proceeds options, application processes, and operating requirements.
- Handles all administrative tasks associated with job duties.
- Knowledge of applicable regulations, acts, terms and conditions, agreements, codes, policies and/or procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret legislation, terms and conditions, and associated policy such as typically acquired by working in a regulatory environment.
- Knowledge of accounting or mathematical practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of office and/or administrative filing systems and equipment.
- Ability to utilize word processing, databases, spreadsheet, communications and other software with speed and accuracy.
- Ability to establish or maintain office procedures and operate a variety of office equipment.
- The successful applicant must qualify for registration as a Gaming Regulator.
