Position Summary

This role supports the accounting team in various key areas, including Accounts Receivable (A/R), Accounts Payable (A/P), General Ledger (G/L), payroll, job costing, and month-end close activities at one of our Windsor, ON locations. You will be responsible for data entry, report generation, identifying errors and anomalies, and ensuring the accuracy of all financial data.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform data entry during the month-end close process, including A/R, A/P, and job costing.
• Input vendor, customer, and accounting data (e.g., fixed asset purchases) into the location's accounting software.
• Reconcile accounts as required to maintain financial accuracy.
• Assist with check writing and electronic funds transfer (EFT) payments as needed.
• Provide support to both on-site and off-site employees with accounting-related tasks.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Location Controller or Corporate Controller.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• ERP experience is an asset.
• Strong experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• High attention to detail, organization, and accuracy.
• A diploma in Business or Accounting is preferred, though extensive experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
