1-800-GOT-JUNK? is looking for a creative and strategic Change Communications Specialist to help shape and deliver effective communications that support the transformation of our brand. Working primarily with our Innovation and Implementation teams, you'll provide strategic guidance, create impactful communications plans, and produce engaging content across multiple channels. If you're a skilled communicator with a knack for understanding audiences and enjoy supporting cross-functional teams through change, this role is for you.
Starting January 2025, all team members in Vancouver and Toronto will be required to work in-office every other week, for three consecutive days (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Core hours of attendance will be mandatory from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on these days.
A DAY IN THE LIFE
- Provide strategic communications guidance to support the Innovation and Implementation teams in advancing the brand's transformation goals.
- Develop comprehensive communication plans that promote awareness, adoption, and enthusiasm for new initiatives, engaging diverse audiences through multiple channels.
- Create a wide range of content including newsletters, presentations, FAQs, conversation guides, and event materials that align with the brand's voice and strategic objectives.
- Leverage your understanding of Franchise Partner and employee mindsets to craft clear, effective messaging that resonates with different audiences.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand their communication objectives, provide tailored recommendations, and ensure alignment with overall brand messaging.
- Use project management skills to organize, prioritize, and drive communications projects, ensuring timely delivery and effective coordination with all involved teams.
- Continuously seek feedback and insights to refine communication strategies, maintain relevance, and achieve impactful results.
- Monitor industry trends and best practices to ensure that our communications approach remains fresh and effective.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a communications role, preferably with a focus on change or transformation initiatives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt messages for diverse audiences and formats.
- Strong project management abilities, with experience leading communications projects from concept to completion.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic communications plans that drive awareness and adoption of initiatives.
- Proficiency in digital content tools such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, or other content development and project management tools.
- An understanding of how to communicate effectively to support organizational change and transform behaviors.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and build relationships with stakeholders.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous improvement.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- Salary $65,000 - $85,000 per annum (Actual salary offered will be commensurate with education, experience and internal parity).
