- Inspect and diagnose gas and diesel engines and heavy-duty equipment.
- Adhere to safety policies and perform daily maintenance checks.
- Complete job-specific paperwork accurately.
- Repair and maintain various vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and more.
- Perform welding operations and install new equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Test equipment for proper performance and complete maintenance reports.
- Stay updated on technology and repair techniques.
- Mentor trainees and provide coaching as needed.
- Other mechanical repair duties as required.Qualifications:
- Journey Certified Heavy Equipment Technician (experienced apprentices considered).
- Experience with on-road and off-road equipment is a plus.
- Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift 50lbs or more, and work in confined spaces.
