Job Duties
  • Provide expert level tree trimming services and inspections to client properties.
  • Operate as an active crew member with supporting ground crew and crew leader.
  • Responsible for climbing, pruning, and removing trees as per work specifications.
  • Perform required general maintenance and daily inspection of equipment.
  • Removal or trimming of trees and brush encroaching onto utility or transportation rights of ways.
  • Properly maintain, prepare, and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more.
  • Manage customer service expectations, safely lead jobsite and crew operations.
  • Abide by Davey and industry safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Have a valid Utility Tree Trimmer/Certified Utility Arborist ticket.
  • 3 years experience performing pruning and removals from rope and saddle, and aerial lift.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Advanced chainsaw and chipper operation.
  • Strong tree and shrub identification skills.
  • Valid provincial driver's license. Licensed to drive a 5-ton vehicle and air brake endorsement considered an asset.
  • Ability to work safely as part of a team and possess the willingness to learn and progress.
