PMco is an Atlantic Canadian company specializing in property management and commercial construction based out of our head office in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. We have several different types of management agreements and currently manage over 1 million square feet of commercial and residential properties.
Our construction division focuses on commercial projects ranging from maintenance calls to full fit-up/renovations. We typically have between 10 - 20 active projects at any given time with a team on-site and in the office.

The Opportunity
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Finance Coordinator to join our team! In this role, you will be an essential part of our financial operations, ensuring accuracy in our records, supporting budgeting and reporting processes, and contributing to the smooth execution of financial activities. Your expertise in managing financial transactions and your analytical mindset will help drive key insights and support our organizational goals. Is this you?
- Do you have 1-2 years of experience in a finance or accounting role
- Did you graduate with a bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, or a related field
- Are you proficient in Microsoft Excel and have experience with Yardi Voyager
- You're knowledgeable of accounting principles and practices
- You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- You can work independently and manage multiple tasks
Job Duties and Accountabilities: In addition to following PMco's policies and procedures, job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Complete AR cycle, including bank deposits, EFT payments, tenant rent payments and PAD pulls. Posting deposits against client and tenant ledgers to ensure accuracy and report any outstanding AR to management for collection.
- Complete AP cycle, including submitting invoices to the proper department and paying outstanding invoices as required. Maintain financial records and ensure proper documentation of transactions from vendors.
- Manage company credit cards and credit card statements
- Complete weekly bank reconciliations for various properties
- Prepare journal entries for payroll, job cost allocations, accruals, prepaids and any other entries as required
- Set up properties, tenants and clients in YARDI Voyager
- Prepare financial reports and summaries for department manager's review
- Support the finance team in month-end and year-end closing activities
- Work closely with other departments to gather financial data and support budgetary needs
- Take ownership and accept responsibility for actions
- Actively listen and share information as and when needed
- Work together co-operatively and support fellow co-workers
- Carry out all work in accordance with established corporate procedures
- Regular interaction and promotion of positive relations with fellow PMco team members, clients, subtrades and suppliers
- Ensure all work is executed in accordance with the PMco Safety program
