We are looking to hire a Flexo Folder-Gluer Operator EVOL115 at our Brampton location. Shift: rotating shift and Wage:$27.18

General Job Duties:

• Work in a team environment and be a team player
• Evol Operator will be required to rotate all positions on the machine through the shift
• All Evol operators will be required to verify stock dimensions with production copy
• Will demonstrate a continual commitment to quality, production and continuous improvement
• Will meet or exceed all ISO/Quality/HACCP requirements
• Prepare the machine for production and run at 330 feeds per minute or above the standard set by the manufacturer
• Perform any and all set-up procedures at standards set by the manufacturer
• Maintain specifications by observing the operation; detecting malfunctions, inspecting parts and adjusting controls as required
• Ensure optimal operation of the Evol by troubleshooting problems and notifying the supervisor when necessary
• Verify print and other specifications with production copy and visually inspect for any non-conformances
• Report all problems to your Supervisor when they occur
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with health and safety and housekeeping practices, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Other duties as assigned
• Abide by all plant rules, safety rules and regulations of the Company

Safety Responsibility and Accountability:

• Follow equipment specific physical lock out tag out procedure
• Report all hazards / problems to your Supervisor when they occur.

Other available tools are when hazard rating is low.

• Pre-use inspection form
• Use Manager plus and place a work request
• Use of hazard reporting form
• Report injury / incident to your Supervisor immediately
• Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with health and safety act, and Good housekeeping practices.
• Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) – Gloves, sleeves, safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, Hi- viz vest in Shipping/warehouse
• Mobile equipment operator to ensure daily operator checklist is completed after use. I.e. Clamp truck, Forklift, Elevated work platforms.
• Abide by all plant rules, safety rules and regulations of the Company
• Keep fire equipment and exits clear all time
• Zero Tolerance - Workplace Violence and Harassment: Refer to the policy posted on the H&S board.

Education:

Minimum High School Diploma

Basic Math

Essential Skills/Qualifications:

Previous manufacturing experience an asset

Mechanical aptitude required

Computer literate

Machine operation skills

Organization skills

Good communication

Flexibility to work rotating shifts

Self starter
