Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Supervisor to oversee the sheet metal project process, ensuring efficient production, high-quality products, and a safe working environment. The successful candidate will lead a team of skilled sheet metal workers, provide guidance and training, and collaborate with other departments to meet production goals. - Supervise and coordinate sheet metal activities, including layout, cutting, forming, assembly and instillation.
- Plan and schedule production workflows to meet deadlines and optimize resource utilization.
- Ensure quality control measures are in place, conducting regular inspections to maintain high standards.
- Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to sheet metal workers, promoting skill development and safety awareness.
- Collaborate with design, engineering, and production teams to resolve issues, improve processes, and implement new technologies.
- Maintain accurate records of production, inventory, and maintenance activities.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols, adhering to regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Perform performance evaluations, address employee concerns, and recommend disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and new technologies to continuously improve processes.
- 3+ years of experience in sheet metal fabrication and instillation with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes, materials, and equipment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and quality control procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field is an asset.
- Work in a fast-paced on-site environment with frequent walking, standing, and occasional lifting.
- Exposure to loud noises, metal dust, and other hazards associated with sheet metal fabrication.
