About the Opportunity:
City Build Recruitment is excited to partner with our client, a leading architectural firm specializing in healthcare projects, to recruit an experienced Architect licensed by the Ontario Association of Architects (OAA). This role offers an opportunity to work on a variety of healthcare projects, from renovations to new builds, while leading a team of technologists and overseeing project deliverables.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, with the ability to run projects through all phases from design to construction. You'll play a pivotal role in managing the design process, ensuring quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) standards, coordinating with city officials for permits, and collaborating with subcontractors to deliver exceptional healthcare environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of technologists in the design and delivery of healthcare projects, ensuring high-quality standards.
- Manage projects from renovations to new builds, overseeing all aspects from concept to completion.
- Coordinate with user groups to ensure design requirements are met.
- Handle permit coordination with the city, ensuring smooth processes and approvals.
- Ensure QA/QC throughout the project lifecycle to maintain the firms high standards.
- Manage project documentation and ensure accurate document control.
- Collaborate with subcontractors and other project stakeholders to ensure on-time delivery.
- Participate in user group meetings to gather input and ensure stakeholder satisfaction.
- Drive the project design process while ensuring alignment with client goals and regulatory requirements.
What Our Client is Looking For:
- Licensed Architect with the Ontario Association of Architects (OAA).
- 4-5+ years Canadian experience in Healthcare as an Architect
- Experience working in the healthcare sector on projects ranging from renovations to new builds.
- Strong technical skills with experience managing project deliverables and ensuring QA/QC.
- Leadership experience, with a proven ability to lead and mentor teams of technologists.
- Exceptional communication and coordination skills, with experience leading user group meetings and collaborating with subcontractors.
- Proficiency in architectural software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant tools.
