The Opportunity
The Financial Advisory Services (FAS) team at RLB is responsible for handling the extraordinary needs of our clients. As a member of the RLB FAS team, you will be working directly with our firm Managers and Partners to actively advise clients on mergers & acquisitions, due diligence engagements, and corporate finance. You will work in a team of Chartered Business Valuators to manage business valuations, financial forecasting and purchase price allocations. You will also have the opportunity to support clients going through disputes and litigation.
About the Gig
- Review business valuations, forecasts, purchase price allocations and other financial models in Excel
- Advise clients looking to buy or sell their businesses and assist with due diligence and quality of earnings reports
- Perform industry and market financial research, extract meaningful information from relevant public company data and precedent transaction data
- Train junior staff to prepare financial forecasts and valuation models and reports
- Participate in the proposal process and support the implementation, administration and completion of client engagements
- Take ownership of developing new service offerings or team process improvements
About You
- Possess a minimum of five years' experience preparing business valuations, corporate finance or M&A transactions
- Completion of the Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) designation an asset
- Carry a high standard of integrity with exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Experience working in business valuations
- Proven ability to; deal directly with clients, work independently, and meet deadlines.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel is necessary
- Familiarity with Caseware and Taxprep would be an asset
- Be willing and able to train our junior staff
- A desire to learn and grow your skills and help your team broaden its capabilities
- The ability to travel to the firm or clients would be a plus, however, a fully-remote role is possible
