We are looking for INSTRUMENT MECHANIC for our Scarborough(333 Progress ) location. Shift: 12-hour continental shifts and Wage:$43.44 +$3retention bonus .
QualificationsWe require one experienced instrumentation technician, who is able to function within a paper mill setting. Having a minimum of five years industrial experience in the instrumentation field. Be able to work independently or in groups using safe work practices and with limited supervision. Be required to respond to emergency call-in. Required to be “on-call” This is on a rotating basis.

- Have a good working knowledge of industrial electrical and electronic technology.
- Should possess some construction skills including panel building.
- Have the ability to work with and troubleshoot using a DCS, (ABB)
- Be capable of reading and understanding wiring schematics, logic drawings, hydraulic/pneumatic drawings, and layout drawings.
- Install, repair and adjust hydraulic/pneumatic controls.
- Able troubleshoot and adjust stand-alone PID controllers (Moore)
- Should be familiar with standard measurement techniques and calibration procedures on level, temperature, flow, pressure, analytical and consistency instruments. (ABB, BTG, Metso, Rosemount, Endess & Hauser, Krone)
- Should be familiar with control valve standard set-up and calibration procedures and test for functionality (DeZurik, Fisher, Metso)
- Have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Be able to handle competing priorities and adapt to situations as they arise.
- Takes a proactive approach to problem solving.
Consideration may be given to candidates with Electronics and or Mechanical with electronics back round.
