Position Summary:
The Site Supervisor conducts supervisory work in directing the efforts of skilled and unskilled labour crews engaged in restoration work. The Supervisor plans, directs, and organizes the work of labour crews of varying sizes and demonstrates considerable knowledge of a wide variety of materials, methods, practices, and equipment utilized in restoration and emergency mitigation. The Supervisor will complete time and material paperwork, daily activity sheet, and daily field reports.
Responsibilities:
- Develops and maintains detailed project schedules which include all project phases and dependencies including detailed design, material procurement, installation & administrative tasks for multiple sites.
- Ensure that the company health and safety policies and procedures are followed for all First Onsite personnel and sub-contractors
- Plan, organize and supervise the work of groups of restoration labourers. Which includes licensed construction trades
- Reports and forms must be sent to the Project Manager and to the T&M desk
- Manages project to ensure SOW (scope of work) on Emergencies.
- Estimate materials and equipment require for site work based on initial plan and communicates to Project Manager.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 3 years experience with proven track record in construction Supervisor / foreman position with up to 25 reports, within the restoration/emergency (or a related) industry
- Detailed understanding of reconstruction practices for property that has suffered water, wind, mould, fire and vandalism damages
- Knowledge of building codes and electrical, or plumbing, or mechanical and related codes.
- Knowledge of the laws and ordinances regulating building construction.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Computer skills required effectively use Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to complete work activities which may include physical labour, material handling and lifting, climbing ladders, wearing a respirator, and working in tight spaces (attics, basements, and crawlspaces)
