Apex Geomatics is seeking a local area Construction Surveyor with pipeline experience to join our group!

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and perform various field survey tasks independently or with the aid of a Survey Assistant.
- Inspect, operate and maintain survey equipment and vehicles.
- Prepare and communicate daily field notes, sketches and reports according to job specifications and Apex operational procedures.
- Effective communication and flow of information from field to office.
- Ensure full compliance and active participation in Apex Geomatics' Health and Safety Program.
- Adherence with quality assurance procedures and quality control practices.
- Provide mentorship and training to Junior Surveyors and Survey Assistants.
- Liaise with client representatives to coordinate survey tasks, priorities and deliverables.
- As a representative of Apex Geomatics, you are to conduct yourself with a professional, cordial attitude with clients.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Geomatics Technology or equivalent amount of related experience.
- 3+ years' experience as a Surveyor, preferably in the construction industry and specific to pipeline.
- Proficient knowledge and experience with Trimble RTK, Robotic Total Stations and related software.
- Line Locating certification and experience would be considered an asset.
- Technical competence and a strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to collaborate with team members.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License and clean Driver's Abstract.
- Required certifications include: PCST, H2S Alive, Ground Disturbance 201, CSTS 2020 and WHMIS 2015.
- This is a safety sensitive position and will be subject to pre-access drug and alcohol screening.
