Today we are seeking multiple dedicated and experienced Site Superintendents to join our team for the development of multi-residential apartment buildings in Ottawa. In addition to the duties typically expected of a Site Superintendent, as the successful incumbent you will be responsible to:
- Manage and oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, trades, and suppliers to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to project schedules.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to the Project Manager, highlighting any issues or delays and proposing solutions.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure workmanship meets quality standards and project specifications.
- Manage and resolve any on-site conflicts or issues that may arise during construction.
- Ensure all construction activities comply with local building codes, regulations, and zoning laws.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders.
- Foster a positive working environment and build strong relationships with all project stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects from start to finish.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Site Superintendent in multi-rise residential construction.
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage a diverse team.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficient in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
