We are looking for a seasoned Hardscape Expert to join our team and bring their expertise in landscape construction to ensure projects are completed with the highest standard of quality and craftsmanship.
Job Overview:
As a Hardscape Expert, you will be responsible for leading and executing landscape construction projects, focusing primarily on hardscaping elements such as paving stones, retaining walls, synthetic grass installation, and more. Your role will also extend to softscape work, ensuring a balance of aesthetics and functionality. This position requires confidence in all aspects of landscape construction, from layout and design to execution and finishing.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute hardscape installation projects, including paving stones, retaining walls, and synthetic grass.
- Perform softscape work, including planting, grading, and soil preparation.
- Read and interpret landscape designs and blueprints to execute projects with precision.
- Operate a variety of equipment, including skid steers, excavators, and compactors.
- Ensure work is completed to company and industry standards for quality and safety.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients to ensure job expectations are met.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior crew members.
- Maintain a clean and safe job site, adhering to company safety policies.
- Manage materials and tools required for each project.
- Troubleshoot and solve problems as they arise on-site.
- Extensive experience in hardscape installation (paving stones, retaining walls, synthetic grass, etc.).
- Knowledge of softscape processes (grading, planting, soil preparation).
- Ability to operate equipment such as skid steers, compactors, and other machinery (certifications are an asset).
- Strong understanding of landscape design, layout, and blueprints.
- Valid drivers license (Class 5 or higher).
- High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Leadership skills and experience mentoring junior staff is a bonus.
