THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are looking for ambitious Sprinkler Fitter(s) to join our team full-time. As a Sprinkler Fitter, you will inspect, service, troubleshoot, and repair various types of Fire Protection Sprinkler Systems. Additionally, our Sprinkler Fitters may assist in the installation or commissioning of Sprinkler Systems in new construction and tenant improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, test, service, troubleshoot and repair a variety of Fire Sprinkler Systems in accordance with the 2018 BC Fire Code.
  • Assist ASTTBC Technicians with Fire Alarm, Extinguishers, and Emergency Lighting testing, inspections, maintenance and repairs.
  • Liaise with clients along with, on-site supervision to ensure high levels of customer service and effective communication.
  • Ensure all work is executed using safe work practices and safety leadership is demonstrated in all aspects of the job.
  • Complete and hand in daily reports, work orders, and timesheets in a timely manner.
  • Train and mentor other team members.
  • Assist with Sprinkler System installation and commissioning in new construction and tenant improvement projects.
  • Maintain certification in good standing with CFAA and or ASTTBC.
  • Provide a ‘next level' experience when interacting with customers, suppliers, contractors, and team members.
  • Adhere to and embrace the companies Core Values and Occupational Health and Safety protocols.
  • Additional duties as they may arise.

The ideal candidate would have the following attributes, strengths, and experience:

  • Journeymen Sprinkler Fitting ticket.
  • Have or willing to obtain ASTTBC RFPT endorsements.
  • Experience installing and servicing sprinkler systems and associated piping.
  • Great customer service skills.
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be self-motivated, resourceful, and proactive.
  • Must have excellent English communication skills (verbal and written) and a positive friendly attitude.
  • Able to work 40hrs per week (overtime and on-call rotation as needed).
  • Must have a valid BC Drivers License.

PLEASE NOTE: Candidate(s) selected to fill this position will need to supply a Drivers Abstract and a Criminal Background Check and other security clearance as may be required.
