The Maintenance team leader will supervise and provide support to maintenance team members in the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery, equipment, physical structures, and piping systems of industrial equipment and facilities.
Essential Functions & Job Responsibilities:
- Ability to read and follow the information on work instructions.
- Record data either manually or by computer as required.
- Assist with testing and repair of equipment.
- Test malfunctioning equipment and discuss machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem and assist with repairs, as directed.
- Assist with the dismantling of machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts, as directed.
- Assist with the facility preventive machine procedures.
- Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment, as directed.
- Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
- Fabricates and repairs counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures.
- Rigs equipment for installation or relation, as directed.
- Must be familiar with and provide all types of hand tools as required.
- Must be able to read basic blueprints to install equipment and components.
- Ability to operate an industrial forklift.
- Must be able to work in varying heights up to and including 50 feet.
Skills and Abilities:
- A valid Industrial Millwright License 433A is a must.
- Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondences.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts, such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
The incumbent must be able to work in 12 hour rotational biweekly shifts
