The Role
BGC is seeking a Junior Accounting Clerk to work in our Vancouver office with a January start date to August 2025. In this role you will be a part of the accounting team for our growing company. Reporting to the Accounting Team Lead and the Controller the successful candidate will support the day-to-day Accounts Payable needs while practicing our values of One Team, Excellence, Curiosity, Common Sense and Clarity. The qualified application will be a bright, organized and motivated individual with strong communications skills. The candidate will gain valuable industry experience working in the head office a multinational Engineering firm.
Responsibilities
- Coding and entering vendor invoices
- Matching vendor invoices to purchase orders
- Responding to various inquires from vendors and staff
- Reconcile and resolve accounts payable discrepancies
- Reviewing and posting employee expense claims
- Managing various credit card payment requests
Required Education, Experience & Competencies
- Currently enrolled in a post secondary accounting program
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Motivated to work independently and within a team
- Highly organized
- Attention to detail
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Customer service experience would be an asset

The estimated base salary range for this position is $44,000-45,000 CAD per annum, however base pay will be commensurate with job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. BGC's compensation package also includes an annual bonus, training allowance and a comprehensive medical and dental plan.
