Reporting to the General Manager, this role will be responsible for supporting our brand look and feel in all avenues including online, print and packaging. They will be responsible for packaging design & coordination, social media, sponsorship & events, and bringing our brand to life wherever we go ensuring that consumers know that at Burnside Brewing we work hard, have fun and drink GREAT beer.

Some of the expectations of this role include:

Branding:

  • Bring the Burnside brand to life in our taprooms, licensee partners, retail outlets and any channels where we market our products
  • Develop yearly brand strategy and channel marketing plan
  • Product packaging development and coordination of packaging design including working with graphic artists where necessary
  • Maintenance of burnsidebrewing.com and our various social media channels
  • Support our advertising campaigns and efforts via external agencies

Social Media:

  • Management of all social media channels including Instagram and Facebook for Burnside Brewing, Toller Lager and our tap rooms at Oak Manor (Antigonish) and The Common (Truro) in collaboration with our teams in the various locations
  • Creation of post and story content as necessary
  • Coordinate with external agencies and content creators to support internal efforts
  • Growing our customer following through execution and ongoing development of our social marketing strategy

Design:

  • Primary on packaging design where possible to do in house – both primary & secondary packages (IE cans & boxes)
    • Collaborate with local artists to design and update product packaging in accordance with brand and packaging standards
    • Support retail operations in production of signage, price lists, promo & marketing materials, etc. for use in store
    • Brand launch coordination with images, sales sheets and relevant info
    • Design for promotional materials and POS items as needed
    • Marketing tools for sales team both in the online store, NSLC and retail locations
    • Design of menus, tent cards, posters & other signage for licensee promotions

Events & Sponsorship:

  • Organize and execute large scale sponsorships
  • Design POS materials as necessary
  • Some procurement and design of event gear, POS & marketing materials and signage
