Position Title: Sales Lead
Reports to: Area Manager

Work Location: Leduc, Alberta office
Position Summary
- The Sales Lead is responsible for playing a key role in helping KBL grow! This position is responsible for driving sales, negotiating and closing deals, and building business relationships with key clients in Northern Alberta. Key accountabilities include reviewing project plans, conducting market research, and identifying new business opportunities, The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in sales, preferably within the environmental construction industry.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Drive exceptional sales performance by consistently exceeding targets, all while embodying and promoting KBL's core values.
- Manage the building and strengthening of relationships with major clients across the Alberta North region, positioning KBL Projects as their go-to partner for innovative environmental solutions.
- Maximize opportunities by tapping into your own and KBL's networks to discover and pursue new business avenues, align with KBL's strategic sales plan, and showcase our cutting-edge services.
- Take the lead in negotiating and sealing deals with clients, ensuring their unique needs are met with precision and that our solutions exceed their expectations.
- Stay ahead of the curve by conducting thorough market research and analysis to unearth new sales opportunities and target high-potential markets.
- Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and bid documents, and know precisely when to engage KBL's internal technical experts to enhance presentations and client interactions.
- Ensure meticulous documentation and management of client information, sales activities, and deal status, maintaining up-to-date and accurate records to drive sales effectiveness.
Physical Requirements
- Long periods of sitting, data entry, and computer work for extended periods. You are responsible for working in a safe and proper manner, utilizing Workplace Ergonomics to avoid injury to yourself and to others.
Work Environment
- This position is on-site at our Leduc, Alberta office
- Travel to other KBL offices or remote project locations may be required
Qualifications
- 3 – 5+ years of experience in sales, ideally with a focus on heavy equipment construction, demolition, and the environmental industry
- Experience in remediation, reclamation, and demolition is a definite asset
- Demonstrated sales ability shown through metrics
- Ability to interact effectively and respectfully with various types of stakeholders, both internal and external, including Indigenous partners and clients
- Ability to travel within Alberta
