Job DescriptionAccountabilities:
- Perform ultrasound procedures in accordance with departmental standards to aid in patient's diagnosis and/or treatment
- Facilitate the provision of optimal patient care, observing and understanding hospital and departmental policies and procedures
- Adhere to hospital mission and value statements while maintaining patient confidentiality
- Provide radiologists with high quality imaging, accurate and complete preliminary technical impression, discussing ultrasound findings with the radiologist when necessary
- Perform other duties related to the job classification as required
- Graduate of an accredited program in ultrasound technology
- Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists in Ontario (CMRITO) required
- ARDMS (CRGS) certification in abdomen and obstetrics/gynecology with preference given to those who are also RVT (CRVS) or eligibility for registration with ARDMS (CRGS) within six months of the date of hire
- Recent experience in related area of responsibility required
- Able to perform breast imaging is an asset
- Experience in general abdominal, obstetrics/gynecology, paediatric, vascular and musculoskeletal an asset
- Experience in ultrasound special procedures i.e. biopsies, an asset
- FMF NT certification an asset
- Membership with Sonography Canada an asset
- Proven skill in the production of high-quality ultrasound images
- Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills

- Excellent attendance, punctuality and work record

Hours: Weekend Nights, 8 hour shifts, including statutory holidays (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)
SALARY:
Minimum: $36.84
Maximum: $51.76
