Location: All Vancouver Lower Mainland.

Responsibilities:

  • Install built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel
  • Install or replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles and shakes and masonry or baked clay roofing tiles.
  • Install roofing tiles.
  • Install single-ply roofing system using waterproof sheet materials (example: modified plastics, elastomeric, other asphaltic compositions)
  • Repair or replace shingles and shakes.
  • Work on sloped roofs.
  • Unloading tools, preparing necessary materials and setting up required equipment.
  • Knowledge of basic tools and power equipment.
  • Operate and maintain tools and equipment.
  • Handle materials and transport them on job sites.
  • Adhere to safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with team members.
  • Maintain job site cleanliness.
  • Document work progress and report to supervisors.
  • General clean-up of the site; sweeping, shoveling, removing, and properly disposing of debris and waste materials and overall site maintenance.

Qualifications & Must Haves:

  • Solid understanding of construction processes and being able to complete assigned tasks independently and without supervision.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, work individually, in a team and follow instructions
  • Strong site safety awareness.
  • Lifting, carrying, and moving materials. Up to 25 lbs.
  • Have your own hard-hat, safety-vest, gloves & safety boots.

Nice to Haves (But Not Necessary):

  • Have access to own vehicle or reliable transportation.
  • Has Own Tools
  • Has Fall Protection, First Aid and/or WHMIS.
  • Tickets in Heavy Equipment Use.
  • Live in Vancouver and Lower Mainland area or nearby.
