Freshwater Motorplex - Automotive/Powersports Service Technician
Looking for a rewarding career? We have a unique opportunity for a hard-working Automotive / Powersports Service Technician to join our growing team in St. John's. Duties include general maintenance, PDI, accessory installation, etc. The successful candidate will have a desire to establish a career with a first-class company, a “can do” attitude and possess strong working habits.
What you will be doing:
- Performing routine repairs, maintenance, etc. (i.e., oil changes, tires, brakes, suspension, exhaust, general shop maintenance) to both automobiles and powersports products
- Performing diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on Recreational Vehicles
- Maintaining efficiency and accuracy when repairing vehicles
- Adjusting, repairing, or replacing worn parts
- Following a step-by-step process to ensure each component of the vehicle is examined
- Using power tools, machine tools and common hand tools properly and safely
- Reviewing customer work orders and discussing with the team lead
- Helping maintain a healthy and safe working environment for everyone
What you will bring:
- Previous experience in automotive and/or recreational vehicle repairs is an asset
- Ability to meet physical demands such as heavy lifting and operating equipment
- A valid driver's license is required
- Ability to take direction and maintain a positive attitude
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Problem-solving skills
- The ability to work alone or with a team
- High level of integrity and work ethic
