Job DescriptionAre you passionate about workspace design and looking to collaborate on national projects with an award-winning team? Would you describe yourself as an innovative designer, always willing to tackle complex challenges? If you answered yes, you may be the designer our team is looking for!
What you will accomplish with us
Collaborate on concept, schematic and design development with senior designers or partners;
Develop presentations, which may include drawings, sketches, renderings, colour and material boards, and models;
Prepare working drawings and specifications including materials, finishes, millwork, and furnishings;
Elaborate a design concept strategy in line with a project's objectives;
Participate in client briefings and collect information pertinent to the project;
Manage production documentation delivery and maintain project records;
Validate the conditions of the project site(s) and oversee project construction;
Develop design concepts by consulting our in-house materials library, our documentation centre, and our online catalogues and resources;
Identify and specify projects' finishes, fixtures and furniture aligned with the proposed design concept.
An inspired and creative passion for all things design, arts, and culture;
Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Architecture (NCIDQ is an asset);
Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience in interior design or a design-related field;
Ability to present to clients and lead them through the design process;
Proficiency in REVIT, AutoDesk, Adobe Creative Suite, MS Suite, and other design related tools;
In-depth knowledge of the Ontario Building Code, interior design specifications, construction drawings, materials, finishes, decorative elements, furniture, lighting, and furniture;
A collaborative, innovative, and personable attitude;
Fluency in English required (French proficiency/bilingualism an asset).
