The Role:
Senior Project Manager The Senior Project Manager will oversee all aspects of project administration, from pre-construction budgeting and scheduling to procurement, construction, and final project closeout. They will collaborate with the project team to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the project team to ensure the project is completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with design documents.
Assist senior management in collaborating with various departments, including estimating, scheduling, procurement, and finance.
Develop project bidding strategies and manage the tender process.
Oversee the logistics plan and ensure minimal disruption to the surrounding area.
Coordinate activities among project team members, including Assistant
Project Managers and Superintendents.
Review and approve major purchase orders, change orders, and contractor requisitions.
Conduct regular meetings with contractors and design teams to track progress and address any issues.
Monitor and report on project costs, schedules, and financials, ensuring alignment with the project baseline.
Manage client relationships, ensuring clear communication and consistent reporting.
Oversee project closeout and secure client sign-off for the completed work.
Qualifications:
Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of 10 years of construction project management experience.
Current WHMIS certification and fall protection training.
Strong understanding of construction, engineering, procurement, and industry standards.
Excellent communication, leadership, and management skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.
