MISSION

The Senior Director, Clinical and Service Excellence, promotes the vision and guiding principles of the organization to ensure the organization leads in the provision of its services. The candidate will provide strategic and operational oversight of all clinical programs while leading, developing and maintaining the highest standard of clinical competencies in the delivery of services to all clients.

The candidate will also provide leadership in the creation and implementation of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion strategies and principles in the organization. The Pod Group is partnering with this organization to place a compassionate, analytical and hands-on leader to fulfill the role of the Senior Director, Clinical and Service Excellence.

PRIORITIES

  • Develop, monitor, and lead the implementation of the strategic and operational plans, including the development of clinical policies, high-quality service standards, and quality improvement processes.
  • Provide input and monitor financial and statistical budgets, ensuring financial objectives are achieved.
  • Develop and implement a staff development and training strategy with objectives based on clinical needs as identified by operations, clinical staff, and best practices.
  • Establish and nurture partnerships that will advance the strategic priorities of the organization, including the development of outcome evaluation capacity.
  • Assess risks in all programs and services and develop a strategy to mitigate risks.
  • Leads and ensures new research and evidence-based practices are embedded throughout clinical services.
  • Foster positive and constructive interpersonal relationships with the staff, volunteers, residents, visitors, external stakeholders, government officials, and related professional associations.
  • Develop, implement and lead high-quality services for the clients, ensuring that clinical programs are evidence-informed and achieved in accordance with documented standards and requirements from the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services, Ministry of Health and the standards of Accreditation Canada.
  • Oversee the creation and implementation of program objectives, action plans, benchmarks and evaluation procedures that align with the Strategic and Operational Plans of the organization.
  • Ensure the effective management of human, financial and physical resources of community programs and lead and manage client service excellence, ensuring a high level of satisfaction with a proactive approach to resolving any community service-related client complaints.
  • Lead Quality Improvement initiatives to ensure clinical programs are meeting ministry standards, funder requirements and service agreements, and provide quality care in terms of access and treatment.
  • Oversee and implement evidence-based treatment and interdisciplinary practices/standards that are consistent with best practices in children's mental health in collaboration with clinical and program leaders.
  • Improve organizational success in all staff functions through the lens of equity, diversity, and inclusion by implementing best practices, evaluating processes, and measuring organizational benchmarks.

Requirements

TALENTS & EXPERTISE

  • Master's degree in a Health Discipline, Social Sciences, Public/Health Administration, Education or equivalent.
  • Regulated Health Care Professional and registration with a Professional College.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of related experience with at least five (5) years in a management level.
  • Experience in a community-based environment, preferably in a mental health setting.
  • Experience with and strong knowledge of Ontario's legislation applicable to the non-profit and mental health sectors.
  • Demonstrated track record of leading, influencing and executing equity, diversity, and inclusion strategies.
  • Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of work plans and operational plans.
  • Demonstrated track record of leading and managing organizational change in a clinical and community interdisciplinary setting with a focus on outcomes.
  • Demonstrated track record of leading quality improvement initiatives with successful outcomes.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with proven ability to lead and establish positive partnerships with all key stakeholders such as clients, families, staff, and community partners.
  • Personal alignment with the guiding principles of the organization.
