Job Overview:

A Licensed Millwright is responsible for working with industrial machinery to ensure it is installed, repaired, and maintained properly. Going to customers facilities and upholding the company's image/brand in a respectable and professional demeanor. We are looking for someone that is eager to continue their career in Millwrighting, that is results-oriented, professional and an out-of-the-box thinker. It is crucial that our Licensed Millwright promote a positive company image through safety, quality, consistency, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance of existing installations and infrastructure
  • Improvement of mechanical systems
  • Fabricate items as needed
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production equipment breakdowns
  • New equipment installations and commissioning
  • Continuous improvement, equipment modifications and retrofitting
  • Must complete and maintain records for work and purchase order tracking
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks as required
  • Develop and execute predictive maintenance plan
  • Follow safe work practices and health and safety policies
  • Always conduct oneself in a professional manner in alignment with Company values, including but not limited to language use, attire, and workmanship
  • In accordance with Company policy and relevant employment legislation, overtime and work outside of regular hours, and being on call may be required at the discretion of the company
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of Millwright experience
  • Licensed Industrial Millwright
  • Previous experience in Food Manufacturing
  • Must be proficient with welding (GTAW, SMAW)
  • CWB tickets considered an asset
  • Must have valid drivers license with clean drivers abstract
  • You have a get it done attitude and are skilled at removing barriers
  • You operate with a team spirit, not with ego; you want everyone, including yourself, to do their best work; you see your success as dependent on the success of the team
  • You have the ability to think beyond the needs of the customer to point out errors and potential issues
  • You are able to adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions, cope effectively with complexity and change, quickly understand and absorb new information and respond appropriately
  • You are a straight shooter who gets to the point and can clearly communicate in both oral and written form
