Supporting Project Managers on-site in a potash mining environment, the project administrator works collaboratively with other teams, in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. To be successful, the candidate needs to have strong communication skills, be self-motivated and be detailed oriented.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • File documents, and conduct employee onboarding, orientation and paperwork.
  • Assist with organizing on-site events such as lunch and learns.
  • Taking meeting minutes, drafting memos/presentations and distributing as necessary.
  • Aid with the development and maintenance of project management documents.
  • Work with suppliers on quotes, project costs, delivery and forecasted spending.
  • Support Project Managers with the procurement of materials, supplies and services as necessary.
  • Assist Project Managers with their schedule, and coordinate team meetings and schedules.
  • Organize and prepare for internal and external meetings; gathering materials required.
  • Utilize Excel for a variety of project tracking and documentation.
  • Support month-end procedures.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the mining or construction industries
  • Relevant diploma or degree
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Knowledgeable with Microsoft Suite of programs
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Detail oriented
