About the Opportunity
United Jewish Appeal of Greater Toronto is seeking a Senior Coordinator to manage key projects and provide high-level administrative support to the Major Gifts team. This role plays an essential part in supporting the fundraising, donor stewardship, and engagement strategies for our major donors. The successful candidate will work closely with senior professionals, lay leadership, and other key stakeholders to execute strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Oversee complex projects from conception to completion, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met, including large-scale donor initiatives and cross-functional projects.
- High-Level Administrative Support: Manage sensitive and strategic donor interactions, coordinate donor material requests, and support key fundraising efforts.
- Data & Analytics: Lead efforts in data analysis, reporting, and CRM management to support fundraising strategies. Maintain and enhance donor data integrity and reporting accuracy.
- Strategic Donor Stewardship: Coordinate senior-level donor stewardship and recognition initiatives, including managing detailed tracking systems and ensuring alignment with donor expectations.
- Event Management: Provide leadership in planning and executing high-impact events for Major Gift donors, including private receptions and targeted engagement programs.
- Collaboration & Leadership: Serve as a point of contact for interdepartmental and cross-functional communications, ensuring seamless coordination between departments.
- Donor Services: Manage donor inquiries, ensure timely follow-up, and process donations and payment requisitions with accuracy and discretion.
- Support to Major Gift Fundraisers: Assist senior fundraisers with donor portfolio management, tracking performance metrics, and organizing donor engagement activities.
Qualifications:
- Education: Post-secondary degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in a project management or senior-level coordination role, ideally within a nonprofit or fundraising environment.
- Skills: Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines and high-level projects.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
- Analytical Abilities: Strong aptitude for working with numbers and data analysis; financial literacy is considered an asset.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving priorities and timelines.
* This is a full-time permanent position, Union Level 3. At UJA we support a flexible work schedule and all of our employees engage in hybrid work.
