Position Overview:

Working up to 50 hours per week on jobsites in Northern Ontario, you will be reporting to your supervisor. A driver's responsibility's focus on the safe operation of dump trucks and loading equipment to deliver construction aggregates to different sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete daily pre/post-operation checks and record them electronically.
  • Drive construction trucks such as tri-axles and tandems to deliver aggregates to jobsites and customers.
  • Load construction aggregates into truck with loader.
  • Tailgate spread of construction aggregate or dump into paving equipment.
  • Complete and submit daily paper work including customer bills with weight slips, etc.
  • Day night, night shift, weekdays with occasional week-end work.
  • Mostly local work (West Nipissing - North Bay) with optional out of town work.

Requirements:

  • Minimum DZ license
  • 3 years experience in driving heavy trucks in a construction setting

Experience Assets:

  • Experience with heavy equipment operation
  • Willing to participate in labour work and traffic control.
  • Knowledge, experience and training related to work on construction sites
