DescriptionAre you seeking a dynamic position where you are appreciated and where you can truly make a difference? We are a Canadian owned and operated small business in the premium outdoor camping market seeking an HR Manager to handle all HR aspects of our small but mighty team.
Duties & Responsibilities· Leads full-cycle recruitment activities.· Responsible for payroll administration.· Provide leadership coaching to supervisors and Managers to ensure consistent people processes and management style throughout the organization.· Work with management to support development of the strategic and job level organizational design options.· Execute Human Resources strategic plans in accordance with organization goals and objectives.· Facilitate interpersonal conflicts, performance, concerns and corrective actions. (Employee relations). Manage employee relations situation, including provide ongoing coaching to Managers on employee relations.· Research and introduce systems to assist company in the development and retention of high-performance cultures.· Assist in all employee terminations, by recommending terms of separation, and participating in termination meetings.· Keep abreast ESA labour legislation.· Meet with benefits broker annually to review claim usage and prepare for annual renewal.· Enroll employee benefits via benefits carrier.· Act as liaise with broker and insurance provider; address any benefit related issues that may arise.· Attend and participate in regularly scheduled meetings.· Focus on the employees to create a “preferred employer” atmosphere.· Recommend and implement human capital policies, procedures and processes to maximize human resources.· Personal professional development including attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, and using personal networks and benchmarking practices.· Maintain/Update job evaluation and present results to the leadership team· Provide insightful and enthusiastic leadership creating a positive attitude and building supportive morale.· Develop, recommend and implement company policies, procedures, and appropriate training in all areas of employment, including employee relations and performance management.· Contribute to a positive and harassment-free working environment.· Works with Management on vacation/time off schedule.· Administers workplace training and Health & Safety initiatives.
