About the role:

Are you an organized, detail-oriented professional with a passion for helping businesses manage their finances? DMCL is looking for an experienced Accountant to join our Private Enterprise team.

In this role, you'll be responsible for handling the full cycle of bookkeeping for a range of private clients, managing everything from day-to-day transactions to bank reconciliations. You'll also prepare accurate year-end financial statements and collaborate with our tax team to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.

How you'll make a difference:

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping for a variety of private clients, ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare year-end financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement) and supporting schedules in compliance with relevant accounting standards.
• Act as a point of contact for clients, providing them with timely financial insights and support.
• Collaborate with the tax team to support the preparation of corporate tax returns and ensure all necessary financial data is available and accurate.
• Ensure that all financial records are complete, up-to-date, and in compliance with regulatory standards, contributing to the overall success of our clients' businesses.

Who you are:

• You have 2+ years of experience working in a public practice firm, providing bookkeeping and year-end services to private enterprise clients.
• You are skilled in using accounting software such as CaseWare and TaxPrep to manage financial records and streamline bookkeeping processes.
• You have experience working with accounting standards (ASPE) and can prepare accurate financial statements with minimal supervision.
• You can demonstrate experience in managing multiple clients and deadlines, ensuring all tasks are completed with precision and on time.
• You enjoy building strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional service, and offering financial advice that helps them succeed.
  
• You work well both independently and as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues in tax and other departments to deliver comprehensive services.
