As we expand our operations into new cities, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Estimator to join our team and contribute to our continued success.
The Senior Estimator, will be responsible for preparing accurate estimate reports for projects by gathering information, analyzing important metrics, and conducting regular risk assessments. This role requires a degree or diploma in a construction-related field.
Responsibilities:
- Review project work scope details and negotiate prices with subcontractors/materials suppliers.
- Contact selected subcontractors/sub-trades for clarifications or incomplete quote submissions.
- Utilize Sage Buy-out module or similar platforms for estimating and procurement processes.
- Finalize/completion of buy-out package and project buy-out on SAGE.
- Monitor purchase order status and prepare draft POs for selected subcontractors with detailed scope of work.
- Establish regular communications with materials suppliers and subcontractors.
- Prepare comparative analysis of subcontract/materials quotes for selection.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in estimation and subcontract negotiations.
- Experience with Sage 300 Estimating and Buy-out module preferred.
- Ability to lead by example and set a standard of professionalism.
- Proficiency with various software (Microsoft Office, Sage Estimating, etc.).
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills (written, oral, interpersonal).
- Familiarity with the construction industry.
- Must be residing in Vancouver or the Lower Mainland for efficient on-site visits.
