Roles & Responsibilities

  • Support the project management team and Health and Safety Manager in coordinating various project-related tasks.
  • Manage pre-qualification documentation processes.
  • Handle project and safety submittals efficiently.
  • Ensure effective management of project and safety documentation.
  • Organize and schedule training sessions and orientations.
  • Oversee the procurement and preparation of PPE and equipment.
  • Maintain compliance with vehicle and driver regulations.
  • Undertake a range of field and office tasks as assigned by the VP of Operations and Health and Safety Manager.
  • Foster clear communication and collaboration with project management, safety personnel, supervisors, and team members.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in project coordination, safety, or within the construction industry.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in analytical thinking and problem-solving.
  • Possession and maintenance of a valid Class 5 Driver's License.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Pro.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities.
  • Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong aptitude for clear communication and teamwork.
  • Meticulous attention to detail in all tasks and responsibilities.
  • Highly organized and committed to following established processes.
  • Dedicated to ongoing personal and professional development for continuous improvement.

Additional consideration will be given to those having any of the following:

  • Completion of University or College degrees.
  • Proficiency in advanced IT or computer skills.
  • Possession of safety or management certifications.
  • Previous experience in a safety-related field.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD drafting.
  • In-depth knowledge of geosynthetics products, services, and/or the construction industry.

Other Information

  • This is a full-time position, 5 days per week, Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with the potential for some over time during the peak busy season.
  • This is a full-time position located in Ile Des Chenes, MB
  • Reports to the Heath and Safety Manager
  • Intermittent travel will be required.
