Maintenance Supervisor
Are you a skilled and dynamic professional ready to take on the challenge of ensuring our production facilities run smoothly? We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor - Your expertise will play a critical role in maintaining equipment, improving safety, and supporting cost-effective production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Management: Lead and supervise mechanics and electricians to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
- Emergency Repairs: Oversee emergency breakdown repairs with your team for quick resolutions.
- Equipment Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of equipment, facilities, and systems for optimal performance.
- Maintenance Planning: Schedule corrective, predictive, and preventive maintenance activities efficiently.
- Cross-department Communication: Facilitate effective communication with other departments to maintain high-quality standards.
- Sub-contractor Supervision: Monitor sub-contractors' work quality and adherence to deadlines through diligent follow-ups.
Essential Duties:
- Manage the maintenance staff effectively in coordination with Maintenance Management
- Execute diversified duties such as installing/maintaining plant machinery
- Provide both emergency repairs during production cycles & scheduled servicing
- Diagnose issues swiftly; replace/repair parts & make necessary adjustments
- Regularly perform mechanical skills - electrical troubleshooting included
- Utilize hand/power tools proficiently while adhering strictly to safety regulations
- Engage actively in building upkeep—including new constructions or renovations
- Complete essential reports accurately—ensuring all records stay updated
Requirements:
- Equipment Knowledge: Understanding operation sequences is vital—from raw material handling down line performances/safeties till changeovers + scheduling protocols
- Drive For Results: Utilizing data-driven insights helps prioritize actions accurately whilst translating objectives into clear actionable items
- Developing Others: Setting expectations right + providing routine feedback ensures knowledge transfer amidst continuous coaching
- Leadership Qualities: Leading by example—a proactive approach removes obstacles fostering teamwork within diverse environments
Skills Required:
- Effective multitasking ability alongside excellent organizational aptitude
- Proven leadership capabilities coupled with sound judgment/reasoning
- Comprehensive understanding/compliance towards local/provincial/federal workplace regulations
- Would be advantageous if candidate holds dual Skilled Trades licenses (Industrial Millwright & Electrician).
