Position Overview

The Director of Financial Planning & Analysis will lead the financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis processes for the organization. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills who can translate financial data into actionable insights, while also developing the existing talent within the FP&A team. This position will report into the VP of Finance and will partner with a number of sales and operational leaders to provide them with critical financial insights and recommendations that support the company's strategic objectives.

Key Job Responsibilities

Budgeting, Forecasting and Planning

· Lead region's annual budgeting process through collaboration with all divisions, business units and corporate departments.

· Build and refine driver-based financial models to support planning, scenario and decision-making.

· Oversee the monthly forecasting process and effectively communicate to senior leadership the key reasons for changes vs budget / previous forecasts

Financial Reporting

· Oversee the monthly business review process and provide strategic insights to the operational leadership teams.

· Leverage organizational reporting tools (budgeting software, CRM, etc.) to provide weekly performance updates on metrics that are leading indicators for the business

· Manage creation and distribution of managerial reporting packages that enable leadership team to monitor and drive performance improvement initiatives.

· Establish KPIs and dashboards to monitor company performance and highlight key insights.

Strategic Financial Analysis & Business Partnering

· Work closely with cross-functional teams (sales, operations, marketing) to provide financial support, assess business performance, and advise on strategic initiatives.

· Provide in-depth analysis and recommendations on labor management, discount management, capital expenditure and sub-rental management.

· Support Executive Team with ad hoc financial analysis.

Team Leadership & Process Improvement

· Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing FP&A team, providing guidance and career development opportunities.

· Foster a collaborative team environment that encourages communication, creativity, and a results-oriented mindset.

· Drive improvements in financial planning processes and systems, ensuring tools are scalable and support growth.

· Identify opportunities for cost reductions and process efficiencies.

Job Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business. Designation (CPA, CFA, MBA) preferred.

· 10+ years of financial analysis or related experience

· 4+ years of experience managing an FP&A or related team

· Experience leading the budgeting, forecasting and planning process in an FP&A environment

· Strong experience in consulting with executive leaders to influence business decisions by leveraging data based insights.

· Superior financial acumen and analytical ability

· Superior written and verbal communication skills

· Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, Oracle/SAP, SQL

· Working knowledge of budgeting, data visualization and business intelligence software and tools

Work Environment

Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Working times may include irregular hours and on-call status including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Team members must adhere to appearance guidelines as defined by Encore based in an office environment and when traveling, on an individual venue or a representation of venues in that city or area.
