What will you do as an Mechanical Designer II?The Mechanical Designer II position routinely applies their skills to design, develop, test, document, and deliver against requirements and specifications set forth by their Team Leader. This position is expected to be an intermediate level where independent skill and company knowledge are applied to meet well established project deliverables.
- Follows clearly established standards and guidelines as provided by the Team Leader
- Understands and utilizes the tools and processes defined by the group to effectively carry out project work
- Participates in regular design reviews and demonstrates strong adherence to checklist requirements
- Produces task lists to breakdown project assignments into appropriate level of detail
- Meets delivery expectations against key project milestones
- Works closely with their team mitigating issues with solutions
- Produces required technical reports and documentation
- Proactively contributes to and implements continuous improvement initiatives
- Adheres to LMI Employee Policy Manual.
- Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent
- 2-5 years experience in the high technology industry working on various projects relating to their area of study
- Knowledge of 3D metrology and/or sensor design
- Strong working knowledge of industry standards and best practices in their discipline
- Excellent knowledge of tools required by their discipline with demonstrated ability in past project accomplishments
- Pursues problem solving with clear understanding of facts and defines test plan and solution strategies
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Familiar with Excel, Word, and produces clearly written reports
- Solid interpersonal skills are required to function appropriately in a team environment
- Experience with project management software tools to maintain task completion status and report on project progress
- Professional Engineer (PEng) would be a bonus
BC/CALIFORNIA ROLES ONLY | Salary Range: $68,000 - $85,000 - $96,900
