Barrie Student Painting, a painting contracting business in the Barrie/Innisfil area is looking for a HARD WORKING and DEDICATED young adult to take on a role as a Full-Time Production Manager for the upcoming 2025 summer (Start of May-End August). Production managers are responsible for a large amount of the business' day-to-day operations and managing production staff. This position also has minor part-time requirements prior to the summer.

While no formal post-secondary education or work experience is required, experience managing others is considered an asset.

Required Qualifications:
  • Full-time access to a vehicle during the summer season
  • Valid drivers license
  • Student, or recent grad capable of taking on 40+ hour workweeks throughout the summer season
  • Coach-ability and willingness to learn
  • High school diploma
Pay Structure

A production manager will split their time between managing up to 4 job sites/painting crews. Each crew managed is a commission based percentage, on crew performance and job size. This commission will quickly increased as the manager takes on more crews.

Any time spent painting as a Manager will be compensated at an hourly rate beginning at minimum $20/hr (however this will quickly increase once the manager develops core competencies), while time spent managing crews is paid out on commission based on crew performance and job size.

Prior to summer, the manager will attend company training's and weekly meetings to enhance their abilities and establish a foundational skillset to ensure success in the role.

Frequent bonuses will also be available to the manager if the business hits its production goals.

  • Production Oversight:

    • Manage multiple crews of painters, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to quality standards.

    • Coordinate and oversee all aspects of the painting process, from surface preparation to final finishes.

  • Supply Chain Management:

    • Order and stock painting supplies, ensuring crews have the necessary tools for seamless project execution.

    • Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with suppliers to maintain adequate stock.

  • Client Communication:

    • Communicate scheduling and progress updates with clients, providing a transparent and positive experience.

    • Address client concerns and inquiries promptly, ensuring customer satisfaction.

  • Team Scheduling:

    • Schedule painters into shifts, optimizing manpower to meet project timelines.

    • Coordinate with teams to ensure efficient workflow and productivity.

  • Project Coordination:

    • Oversee project timelines, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget

Requirements:
