Role Description / Key Responsibilities
- Leadership in Instrumentation Design: Act as the instrumentation discipline design lead or provide support within multi-discipline project teams, ensuring effective collaboration and execution.
- Instrument and Valve Sizing: Perform comprehensive sizing and selection of instruments and valves specifically for heavy industrial plants, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Industrial Networking Proficiency: Leverage knowledge of industrial networking protocols and ICS (Industrial Control Systems) security to enhance system integrity and reliability.
- Engineering Documentation: Prepare essential engineering documents and drawings, including instrument indices, control philosophies, P&IDs, instrument data sheets, instrument location plans, loop drawings, cable schedules, and PLC/panel drawings, as needed.
- Bid Document Preparation: Develop and evaluate bid documents for materials and contracts, ensuring clarity and completeness to facilitate procurement processes.
- Vendor Drawing Review: Conduct thorough reviews of vendor shop drawings to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards.
- Cost and Time Estimation: Assist in preparing accurate material cost and timing estimates to support project planning and budgeting.
- Site Travel: Be prepared for occasional travel to project sites located in Northern Saskatchewan and Ontario to support on-site project needs.
- Technical Document Oversight: Sign and/or seal technical documents, including drawings, specifications, data sheets, engineering lists (such as equipment lists, pipeline lists, tie-in point lists, valve lists), and calculations, ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation & Control , or Electrical Engineering.
- P. Eng Designation with APEGS
- Ability to register with PEO
- 7+ Minimum years of experience in instrumentation design with heavy industrial environments.
- Experience in preparing engineering drawings and documentation, including P&IDs, control philosophies, and instrument data sheets.
- P.Eng. registered with APEGS.
