The Senior Payroll Administrator will be responsible for managing all payroll-related tasks while ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll transactions. The role is required to maintain compliance with relevant laws and regulations and providing exceptional service to employees. Expertise in both US and Canadian payroll processes is required.What You'll Do
- Manage end-to-end payroll processes for both US and Canadian employees.
- Ensure accurate calculation of wages, tax withholdings, and other deductions in compliance with local regulations.
- Process and verify payroll transactions, including new hires, terminations, and adjustments.
- Stay current on US and Canadian payroll regulations and tax laws to ensure compliance.
- Prepare and submit payroll tax filings, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Collaborate with relevant authorities and agencies to address any compliance issues.
- Maintain precise records of employee information, payroll transactions, and related documentation.
- Reconcile payroll data to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters, deductions, and taxation.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to address payroll-related issues and provide support as needed.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance payroll efficiency.
- Implement best practices for payroll administration to streamline operations.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in payroll administration, with a focus on both US and Canadian payroll is a requirement.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field is preferred but not required.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Proficient in payroll software and systems (e.g., ADP, Workday, UKG), and advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
- Advanced experience with year-end payroll processing activities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with employees and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to adapt to changes in regulations, processes, and technologies.
