Position Overview

Reporting to the Brand and Communications Manager, the Junior Graphic & Product Designer will play an integral role in a dynamic and innovative team, dedicated to crafting creative design solutions, with a particular focus on wayfinding and signage projects. This role will play a pivotal role in creating engaging visual and product designs, encompassing graphics for both print and digital media, as well as physical signage and wayfinding systems, while ensuring consistent design quality and brand integrity across all platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design captivating visual and product assets, encompassing print and digital graphics, as well as physical signage for wayfinding systems.
• Create detailed 3D models and renderings to effectively represent design concepts for wayfinding and signage.
• Partner with the design team to ideate and implement innovative solutions for a variety of projects.
• Support the prototyping, production and installation processes for design projects.
• Uphold design consistency across all platforms and ensure brand integrity in visual communications.
• Stay current with emerging design trends and technologies to enhance your skills and uphold the highest standards in design.
• Assist in creating and producing strategic presentations and visual decks for Business Development, Marketing and Communications.
• Design engaging visual and branded content for social platforms, ensuring alignment with brand strategy and tone.
• Collaborate closely with design, marketing and communications.
• Stay current on design trends and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic, Product or Industrial Design, or related field.
• 2 to 3 years of experience in a design role, preferably with exposure to prototyping and production processes.
• Proficient in industry-standard design software (Adobe Creative Suite) and 3D modeling tools (Blender, Rhino, AutoCAD, or similar).
• Solid understanding of design principles relevant to signage and wayfinding, including but not limited to typography, color theory, and spatial design.
• Familiarity with environmental design and user experience in public spaces is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and sustainability in design, considered an asset.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects on tight deadlines.
• Exceptional communication skills, with a proven ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Meticulous attention to detail coupled with strong creative problem-solving skills.
